What's in my Birchbox? May 2014

I was excited for this months box, the Harper's Bazaar collaboration was something I couldn't wait to see and it did feel like I was really having to wait. Yesterday I was starting to worry, I'd noticed others had received their boxes but I was still without. Fortunately my time has come - yesterday I'd missed the postman and it was simply waiting for me at the depot - I promptly picked it up before work this morning but managed to resist temptation and waited until I was home to open it. Not that I'm wonderfully innocent, I have given in and looked at what others received PLUS I panicked last night, logged into my account and accidentally looked at what I was getting although I didn't take it all in.

The first thing I have to say is the box design is beyond amazing, it will be going in to immediate use as soon as I've emptied it. So what is actually in the box? It's all after the cut!

Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Mascara 3.0g (Full size: £19.50 for 8.5g)
I've had They're Real! before, see previous post, and rather like it, although I've been sticking to my Illamasqua and Soap & Glory equivalents this handy, generous sized sample will be going in my travel bag.

Soigné Nail Lacquer in Pomegranate 10ml (Full size: £11 for 10ml)
Not a brand I know but looking at their pintrest board I can be let off, their website doesn't open until this June. I have to say, I'm rather excited about this brand from the little I've read. A healthy, safer, non-toxic formula - up to 85% plant-sourced raw materials. Yes, I'm super excited about this brand and can't wait to try out my gorgeous red shade - possibly tonight!

Now this felt like deja-vu, I could have sworn I'd had one of these recently - I honestly thought I'd been planning to have a bath with it, but all I can see is one from my Christmas birchbox - that I haven't even used yet! It isn't a duplicate, I have another version this is Relax Light and has almost a spicy smell to it the addition of lavender means it will be a perfect pre-bed relax. I suppose the longer I leave it until I try it the more money I'll have left in the bank.

Philip Kingsley One More Day Dry Shampoo 50ml (Full size: £13.50 for 200ml)
For years I've used Batiste and nothing else but this last month I've had 2 different dry shampoos from 2 different brands, first a TRESemme one in last months Glossybox now I have this Philip Kingsley one to try. It's smells fresh and feels light, so far, so promising!

Liz Earle Beauty Co. Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser 30ml (Full Size From: £13.25 for 100ml pump)
Now this product I was super excited about - after I saw others with it I was worried I wouldn't receive this. fortunately I did. I've had this product on my beauty wish list for a while but as I have so many products to use up I figured I would be lucky to try this out this year. Now although I have a lot of standard products to work my way through I think I will be making an effort to try this in between empty bottles.

Lifestyle Extra

Imedeen Derma One 30 tablets (Full price: £37.99 for - I'm not sure how many)
Now this is a huge disappointment, I'm not even going to link to it or look it up. I know bits from fish are used in so much, fom lipstick, wine, beer, to nail varnish, just to name a few - and you wouldn't really think about it, if I know something has it in then I avoid, I do my best but I know I'm not perfect however these tablets are a big no no. A supplement to help with the first signs of ageing, well it is mainly fish extract and I'm a vegetarian and for me it isn't worth it so this is going straight in the bin.

So apart from one big disappointment I'm pleased with my box, I can't wait to try the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and the Soigné Nail Lacquer - I say can't wait and this time I mean it, both will be on the go tonight!
